ECOSpace, Lauder College

This facility, believed to be the first of its kind in Scotland, was exemplar, built entirely from renewable sources and incorporating renewable energy systems that reduce the energy consumption of the building and the impact it will have on the environment. Sturrock Power delivered the full mechanical and electrical services package which greatly contributes to achieving a “green” building.

Rain water harvesting was utilised for the flushing of all toilets within the facility, greatly reducing the amount of mains water consumed by the facility. High efficiency Solar Panels were installed on the roof generating hot water and used for all domestic hot water outlets within the facility.
