Health and Safety

Health and safety is a core business value for Sturrock Power. Responsibility for health and safety is vested in the Company Board of Directors, with the overall responsibility resting with the managing director. He has demonstrated his commitment to health and safety by restructuring the chain of command to enable the HSE Advisor to report directly to him. This facilitates his hands-on approach and the company is always led by example.

Ensuring our employees have the appropriate competencies to conduct works in a safe manner is integral to management of the company. All operatives undergo ongoing training to ensure up-to-date knowledge and continual improvement in the service we deliver.

Recent successes over the last few years include RoSPA Silver and Gold awards. Sturrock Power also gained accreditation to the OHSAS18001 standard for health and safety management in November 2011.
